I looked at a bx24 kubota today at a local dealership. I have read many comments online about the plastic deck cracking. When in the showroom not near the tractor the salesman informed that the fenders and deck had been changed to metal to solve this problem but when we looked at the tractor the fenders and deck were plastic and he said he was mistaken that kubota had only added a brace under the deck. Does anyone have know if there has been an update and if so what the update was?
Thanks
Tim

Tim,
I, too, have read many reports of the plastic breaking at the joint between the deck and the fenders. Kubota has addressed this problem by installing a support bracket under this area.
As I understand things, this bracket is meant only as a temporary fix. A newly designed fender and deck is the long-term answer to the problem.
I've not yet heard any news pertaining to the expected date of delivery. Still up in the air is the question of whether or not Kubota is going to replace the broken parts, or simply issue and install the support bracket in all previous tractors.
Maybe KubotaRep is still hanging around here. If so, he may be able to provide us with a bit more information.

Hi
I sell alot of BX's and I only saw a few fenders break back then but they have been updated. I have never seen one break since the Update.
Kubota released a bullitin under Top Issues back on 10/18/2006 that says they have redesigned the fender and added a fender stay bracket.
I believe the New Fender and Stay kit are have been std equipment since then
New design after ser number
BX1850 After ser number 54063
BX2350 After ser number 59221
BX24TLB After ser number 55154
I doubt any dealers still have this old of a product still in inventory.
Hope this helped
Kubota BX's have been one of the best products ever built
Thanks
